The biogas cogeneration plant has been operational for 14 months. It continuously develops the biogas resulting from the slurry of the digester. It provides 1.2 MWe and 1.5 MWh thermal energy. This energy is "self-consumed" by the station.
What makes this project stand out is the "containerisation" of the station. Manufactured in our Langon factory, ELECTRODIESEL, the modules of the station were transported to the site, then installed and assembled by our teams.

The ENERGY department supervised the complete installation on site, including the processing of the biogas, the thermal recovery and the MV electrical connection.

The photovoltaic shade panels at Leclerc in Saint Aunès have been officially under production since 11/07/08. A reminder of the brilliant concept of this project (SUNVIE): to place photovoltaic panels on car park overhead shade panels.
There are many benefits:
-production of solar electricity (1.4 gWh per year),
-protection of vehicles from the sun (saving on air conditioning),
-recycling of rainwater
The FAUCHE GROUP, through its Industrial Systems Department, is delighted to have been involved in this innovative project.
(Thanks go to CONERGY, suppliers of the solar panels, for the photos of the installation above)

ENERTHERM, return to an exceptional site

Located in Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine), Enertherm is a private company, manager of the urban heating and air conditioning concession at La Défense (Paris) since 2002.
Enertherm has undertaken a program of works over 4 years to modernise the production of heating and air conditioning for the largest business district in Europe.

The team in charge of the project based at Lafrançaise in Tarn et Garonne has had the daunting task of ensuring the provisional site electricity distribution transfer since 1995. The electricity lot included the high currents, fire detection, and the wiring of the automated systems part.
We rewired the output of one of the 63 KV, 50MVA transformers, installed nine 20 KV cells, forty-eight 5.5 KV cells, produced a part of the 20 KV MCSET network, and all of the 5.5 KV MCSET, 400 V, 230 V and 115 V networks.

A site worth more than 7.3 million euros, in which we installed more than 35 km of MV cables and 15 km of raceways for the MV distribution alone! A colossal project subject to major phasing constraints, with production never stopping.

Huge congratulations go to the entire Energy Department project team for their fine demonstration of our know-how.

PASTEL 3 PROJECT

A flagship site in the heart of Toulouse.
The industrial group SANOFI AVENTIS, the world's third biggest pharmaceutical company, has decided to expand its route d'Espagne site in Toulouse. The construction of the new building B16, alongside the current installations, will allow the site to host more than 1000 people by 2010.

The FAUCHE GROUP, through its Toulouse agency, is actively involved in this project, christened PASTEL 3. The high currents electricity lot alone is worth more than 7 million euros.

To give a few figures: this new building provides an additional surface area of more than 30,000 m², spread over four buildings: pharmacology, biochemistry, tertiary offices and laboratory offices. Eight transformers will serve the electrical installations of the buildings, making available 9 MVA. Twelve manufacturer general low voltage panels will distribute the power, relayed by 160 sub-panels fully manufactured by our Electrical Cabinets department.

Specific attention has been paid to power consumption from the design of the project, combining innovative technical choices and choices of products.

After 6 months of research and synthesis, the work began in January, for a period of one year. The size of the site required the creation of a veritable in situ work centre: a Project coordinator, a contract manager, a research coordinator, a research manager, six designers with AUTOCAD workstations and printing equipment, a storeman and four works foremen with their site teams!

A team and resources up to the challenge and to whom we wish luck and success.

The Industrial Systems Department has been awarded a project for a photovoltaic power station of more than 1 megawatt peak with integrated assembly, which will be the largest of its type installed in France.
It will be built at the Leclerc in Saint Aunès (Maugio 34) and will act as a covered car park (1300 spaces).
Its innovative principle (project designer: SUNVIE), certainly unique in France on this scale, is to integrate photovoltaic panels in 12 overhead shades which will protect vehicles from the sun and bad weather.

The dimensions of the project are impressive:
- Twelve overhead shades of 85 m by 8.5 m, making 8000m² of panels of 210Wp each
- Two 500Kva inverters
- One HV 20KV 1250Kva station
- Communication to site displays
- Assembly, wiring and test
- Maintenance contract

The photovoltaic power station shall also be connected 24 hours a day to our FAUCHE ENERGIE remote surveillance centre based in Castelsarrasin in Tarn et Garonne.

Video surveillance devices have now moved towards being fully digital. By interfacing the world of IP with that of WIFI, you obtain an extraordinary scope of application.
These solutions, which are flexible to use and provide many features, give advantages in terms of integration.

The FAUCHE GROUP is investing extensively in research into new applications linked to this activity domain: image recognition and processing, movement detection, auto-tracking, and many other areas. Over the last two years, the flexibility and reliability of WIFI have made it a prime technology.

We are currently proceeding with the installation of point-to-point or multipoint networks on "complex" sites in order to carry video or data flows.
By complex sites, we refer to large industrial sites, logistics bases in which WIFI offers a genuine economic solution: no roads and services works, no cable pulling, no installation of raceways, the cost of each camera deployed is halved !

Security, reliability, speed, flexibility: convincing arguments in favour of WIFI technology, not to mention the fact that transmission distances can now reach up to 10 kilometres !

We will very shortly be opening a section dedicated exclusively to these technologies.

WIFI is not the future, it's already the present.

At a time of sustainable development and clean energies, FAUCHE AUTOMATION OUEST has joined two wind energy projects: the farm at Plouarzel and the farm at Kérigaret. Our Montoir de Bretagne site won the invitation to tender which was launched for the electricity lot.
FAUCHE AUTOMATION OUEST will supply and install the electrical equipment for the wind turbines and the substructure.

The Plouarzel wind farm will consist of four additional Gamesa G52 turbines with a unit power of 850 kW. Its annual production is already close to 7.5 GW/h, allowing it to provide electricity to around 3300 people and avoid the emission of more than 5000 tons of carbon dioxide. After construction of the extension, it will contain nine turbines for an overall capacity of 6.7 MW.
Last February, the two HV/LV substructures of the Kérigaret farm were put in place on the site and have just been connected to the national grid. This farm will consist of eight Acciona Windpower AW77 turbines, with a unit power of 1.5 megawatts. The Kérigaret farm will produce around 30 GW/h per year and will provide electricity to nearly 13,000 people, avoiding the emission of more than 20,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide !

The Midi Pyrénées region has become equipped with a solar power plant. The Regional Council has decided to install a solar power plant on the roofs of the Hôtel de Région (Regional Council Offices), as part of its climate plan. This plant will have about 300 m² of photovoltaic solar panels, with a total power rating of 39 kWe. It will capture solar energy, to enable electricity to be produced and avoid approximately 5 tons of CO2 being emitted into the atmosphere each year. It will be installed in July 2007, and will be one of the biggest installations in the Midi Pyrénées region to produce solar electricity. The Regional Council has entrusted us with the production of this installation with solar collectors being produced in the Toulouse area. The installation has been designed so that it is hardly visible, in order to be in harmony with the original architecture of the buildings. A display panel will be placed in the Atrium of the Hôtel de Région so that the elected officials, staff and visitors can follow the operation and production of this solar power plant in real time. The ambition of the JP. FAUCHE Group is to develop this worthy activity and contribute to conserving our environment.

We have the pleasure of working on the rehabilitation of the treatment plant in Marquette-Lez-Lille for the urban area of Lille, together with the company DALKIA (legal agent). This project's objective is ambitious and very topical - reclaiming the waste from the treatment plant to turn it into biogas, which is then converted into electricity using gas engines. The work planned spreads over 2007, with commissioning planned for October. It consists in setting up a pre-treatment of the biogas to make it usable, supplying and installing a cogeneration power plant made up of two 625-kWe containers, and installing boilers and exchangers. All this is carried out together with the necessary electrical work, the setting up of the instruments and automated devices, and the overall supervision of the installation.
